Dr Avelyn Chen (The Dental Practice)

Dr Avelyn Chen graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.). As a dental undergraduate, she served as a member of the Dental Society Executive Committee.   

Dr Chen started her career at Health promotion board  (School dental service) and later on in SingHealth Polyclinics (SHP), providing dental care to the community and was awarded Silver at the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards.  Subsequently, she became part of the dental team in KK Women and Children’s Hospital, where she acquired invaluable exposure treating medically complex cases, especially in children, quickly attaining proficiency and speed in her professional practice.  With a keen focus on family and children’s dentistry, Dr Chen’s gentle and caring approach to dentistry makes her the perfect choice for anxious patients. She constantly strives to remain up to date on the latest techniques in dentistry and has been with years of hands-on experience and regular attendance of professional courses both locally and abroad. Her main goal is to minimize pain during treatment, so that patients feel comfortable and will be encouraged to return for future preventive treatment.  

Outside work, she likes to hunt for the best food in town and spend time with her family and two corgis, Trigger and Pan Pan.
